Golden Berry

The Golden Berry is an Andean fruit, highly valued in international markets for its unique and exotic flavor. Its leaf allows keeping it away from pests and diseases in the field, turning it into a decorative attraction for the most exclusive culinary tables in the world.

General characteristics

The fruit is round – ovoid, the size of a large grape, with smooth, waxy, shiny skin and yellow, golden, orange or green depending on the variety.

Its meat is juicy with yellow, soft and edible seeds. When the flower falls the chalice expands, forming a kind of cap or very thin bladder that covers the fruit. When the fruit is ripe, it is sweet with a slight sour taste.

Presentation of the product

The fruit is packed in strong palletized cardboard boxes. You can also use smaller packages. The most usual form in Europe, is the box of 12 baskets of 100g.
